Carlos del Junco

Carlos del Junco plays the harmonica like nobody else in the world. Born in Havana, Cuba, del Junco is a pioneer of the 10-hole diatonic harmonica.

Throughout his concert and festival performances with his band, you’ll hear an eclectic palette of jazz, blues, swing, Latin, funky New Orleans and the occasional African, hip hop, and ska melody. As a singer, you will hear a voice almost as unique as his harp playing as Carlos del Junco offers fresh renditions of classic blues and jazz standards. Multi award winning del Junco is certainly not your straight ahead blues harmonica player. He has recorded with Bruce Cockburn, Kim Mitchell, Oliver Schroer, Zappacosta, and has also worked with Dutch Mason, Hoc Walsh (Downchild BluesBand) and Holly Cole.
