Experience the Blues Trail through the music of David Gogo as he traces the migration of the blues from its birthplace in the Mississippi Delta through Louisiana and Texas, northward to Memphis, St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit, and beyond. Joining Gogo for a blues-filled-week in paradise will be Julian St. Martin on keys, Stephen F. Wood on bass and Andrew Lamarche on drums. Currently nominated for Blues Artist of the Year at the upcoming Western Canadian Music Awards, Gogo has performed on stage with the likes of BB King, Johnny Winter, Albert Collins, Bo Diddley and Otis Rush. He has been chosen to open shows for ZZ Top, George Thorogood, The Tragically Hip, Little Feat, Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Cray, Robin Trower and Wishbone Ash. His songs are featured in films and television and have been covered by a variety of artists, most notably Buddy Guy. Although initially known for his ability to rip it up on lead guitar with his electric performances, Gogo has also built up a solid reputation over the last decade as an acoustic performer with his solo shows that feature his vintage National steel guitar chops, as well as his entertaining stories from the road. Gogo has six JUNO Award nominations, has been named Guitarist Of The Year three times at the Maple Blues Awards, was named Musician Of The Year at the West Coast Music Awards, won Blues Recording Of The Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards and has released 15 albums.
